Statement by President Clinton and Secretary Clinton on the Passing of Nora Ephron

“We were saddened to learn of the death of Nora Ephron. Nora was a brilliant role model everyone could relate to, and a one-of-a-kind personality. In her prose, plays, and movies, she effortlessly captured the highs and lows of being a smart and funny American woman, and nobody did it better or with more style. Our thoughts and prayers are with Nicholas, Jacob, Max, and her entire family.”

Bill Clinton said I inspire him

No matter what the challenge, you have refused to look away.
Your work with the Clinton Foundation is a daily inspiration to me.
Our work is already starting to make an incredible impact in these countries, and I'm certain that, together, we can help them build a stronger future. And that is all because of you.

Because you refuse to look away when someone is in need, and refuse to assume someone else will solve a problem, we've been able to help thousands of farmers in Rwanda and Malawi increase their yields, find better prices for their harvests, and create a more stable future for themselves and their families.

Amy Dugan added what the Clinton Foundation is doing for the US.
More than 32,000 jobs will be created, including 6,600 green jobs.

More than 500,000 jobs will be filled by veterans and their family members.

Nearly 68,000 people will receive improved access to capital or financial services.

More than 117,000 people will benefit from access to job training and certification.

Nearly 760 million kilowatt hours of energy will be saved.

More than $84 million of new capital will be invested in green initiatives.

More than 12,000 people will gain increased access to health services.
Your action serves as an inspiration every day,

President Clinton is personally offering to match all donations you make by June 25, dollar for dollar, up to $100,000 to help us improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.
