In August, the Clinton Center will host its second annual “Head of the Class Bash” and Free Admission Day in honor of President Clinton’s 66th birthday. Celebrating the close of a wonderful summer and the beginning of a new academic year, the Center’s “Bash” will provide school-supply stuffed backpacks from 3M to the first 1,200 students. President Clinton will be presented with an award Wednesday from the Walden Woods Project meant to recognize leaders working on environmental issues across the globe. Uganda: Bill Clinton Visits School in Wakiso

Former US President Bill Clinton on Friday toured a school funded under his initiative through the US non-governmental organization (NGO) called Building Tomorrow.
The Building Tomorrow Academy Gita, one of the academies established by the organization to provide education to underserved rural areas of Uganda.

The NGO is partnering with the Clinton Foundation and has since 2006 built 14 primary schools in rural areas of Lwengo, Mpigi, Lyantonde, Mukono, Kiboga, Wakiso, Luwero and Lamwo districts, and is aiming at building a total of 60 schools by 2016. http://allafrica.com/stories/201207201181.html
