Help Rebuild New York City Communities. Join our Day of Action.
One year after Hurricane Sandy, many New York City communities are still rebuilding. We're raising 2,500 volunteer hours to help.
Join the Clinton Foundation, St. Bernard's Project, NYC Service, and the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation on October 26, 2013 for a day of volunteering in Queens or Staten Island.
Last November, in response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy, we mobilized 1,000 volunteers to help clean up homes and businesses that had been impacted and to distribute supplies in the Far Rockaways. While much progress has been made since then, there's still work to be done to help communities recover. On October 26, Chelsea Clinton will lead our second Day of Action for New York City to continue our commitment to helping families, businesses, and communities recover in Queens and Staten Island. Updates On Sandy, One Year Later

Hurricane Sandy caused massive flooding, destructive fires, and extended power outages. The devastation cost New York City tens of billions of dollars and its effect on families, communities, and businesses is still significant.
We're trying to raise at least 2,500 hours of service for New York City on one day – that's 500 volunteers giving 5 hours each. Volunteers will join Clinton Foundation staff, the St. Bernard's Project, NYC Service, and the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation at several sites in Queens and Staten Island. Bus transportation to and from Manhattan as well as lunch will be provided to all volunteers. Volunteers should expect to depart our transportation sites in the morning and return in the late afternoon.
By volunteering with us, you can help improve the lives of New Yorkers and remind those hurt by Hurricane Sandy that their needs are not forgotten.
