Donate $25 and get Bill Clinton mug emblazoned with the title of President Clinton's compelling book, Giving: Each of Us Can Change the World.

I tie my apron on every day and go to work, getting my hands dirty doing what I love: feeding people. My food fills stomachs, warms hearts, and makes people happy.

When I first met President Clinton 10 years ago, food was the first thing we talked about, but the conversation quickly turned to those who do not have enough to eat.

I was so inspired by the President's unshakable commitment to creating real solutions that help people feed themselves and their families -- not just today and tomorrow, but for a lifetime.

Through his remarkable Foundation, President Clinton has taken the adage of teaching a person to fish and applied it all over the world, saving countless lives. But there are more mouths to feed, more communities to transform, and the need is growing in too many places.

Please, join me in supporting the life-changing work of the Clinton Foundation. When you do, I'll share a special holiday recipe as my thanks to you.

Thank you for giving as generously as you can.

Sincerely,

Mario Batali

P.S. With your first time gift of $25 or more, you'll receive a beautiful mug emblazoned with the title of President Clinton's compelling book, Giving: Each of Us Can Change the World. It's just one more example of how President Clinton's leadership is helping our world for the better.

SANTO DOMINGO (AFP) – Bill Clinton called Wednesday for an "objective" recount in Haiti's disputed presidential elections, and indicated an unfair result could doom efforts to rebuild the quake-shattered nation.

Statement by President Bill Clinton on the Passing of Richard Holbrooke

"In a lifetime of passionate, brilliant service on the front lines of war and peace, freedom and oppression, Richard Holbrooke saved lives, secured peace, and restored hope for countless people around the world. Tomorrow marks the 15-year anniversary of the signing of the Dayton Accords — the agreement Dick negotiated which stopped the killings in Bosnia and paved a path to peace in the Balkans that endures today. He was central to our efforts to limit ethnic cleansing in Kosovo and pave the way for its independence, and he found a way to break the stalemate in talks in Cyprus. I was proud to nominate him as the United States’ ambassador to the United Nations, where he helped equip the UN to meet the challenges of our 21st Century world. For the last two years, he worked hard to counter terrorism and to build a secure, democratic future for Afghanistan and Pakistan. Our nation is safer, and our world stronger, because of the work he did. I will miss my friend very much. My thoughts and prayers are with Kati, his sons, and legions of friends during this difficult time."

New Video of Bill Clinton on why he started his Foundation

When I left office in 2001, I knew my work wasn't done yet. Poverty, malnutrition, climate change, and so many other problems, both here and abroad, were still calling out for solutions.

We wasted no time in bringing together governments, businesses, and other organizations to identify low-cost, high-impact solutions for some of the world's most pressing challenges.

And I'm simply amazed at the breadth of work we've been able to take on and the lives we've been able to touch -- from energy efficient cities with lower carbon emissions to ongoing relief and recovery efforts in Haiti, our work is having a real impact

Bill Clinton: World Cup Call Is "a Way to Embrace" Middle East

lost to Qatar because FIFA, soccer's governing body, wants to expand the sport's reach across the globe.

"I think they wanted to make soccer a world sport,” the former president said at The Economist magazine's World in 2011 conference kick-off dinner at the Skylight SoHo. “They wanted to say, here's a good non-terrorist, non-bigoted way of embracing -- no really, I'm not trivializing this -- a way to embrace the modernization attempt of the Middle East.”
