Typhoon
Haiyan, one of the strongest recorded storms in history, touched ground
on Friday, devastating entire towns in the island nation, including the
cities of Basey and Tacloban, where thousands are missing and
officials say the death toll could reach 10,000.
According to the UN, more than 600,000 displaced residents across the
country are in desperate need of food, water, and medicine. - See more
