Clinton Foundation Funds Recycling Plant in Haiti
The Clinton Foundation has awarded a $250,000 grant to a Haitian
recycling plant that seeks to clean up the country's dirty capital city.
Former President Bill Clinton, who heads the private foundation, made
the announcement Tuesday before the end of a two-day trip to the
Caribbean nation, where he used to serve as a United Nations special

Bill Clinton postpones keynote address
President Clinton’s Keynote Address, originally scheduled for March 20 at the Ralston Arena, has been postponed. We have already begun talks with the appropriate people to solidify a
new date possibly around the fall time frame. President Clinton is
still looking forward to appearing at the Ralston Arena at a later

A member of the Black Arts Movement, Madhubuti has published more than 20 books of poetry, nonfiction, and critical essays, and his work has been widely anthologized. Madhubuti is the recipient of the American Book Award, the Kuumba Workshop Black Liberation Award, the Broadside Press Outstanding Poet's Award, and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts (1969, 1982) and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Recognizing the lack of resources and forums for black writers, Madhubuti has founded and led numerous institutions and organizations dedicated to serving that need, including the Third World Press with its mission of "providing quality literature that primarily focuses on issues, themes, and critique related to an African American public."
The Distinguished Lecture Series is sponsored by the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame and the Clinton Foundation.

Bill Clinton to campaign for Grimes in Kentucky
Grimes said Friday that Clinton will campaign with her Feb. 25 in Louisville.

It looks like Bill Clinton’s plans are set.
He’ll be in Louisville on Feb. 25 for a lunchtime fundraiser for Alison Lundergan Grimes’ campaign at the Galt House.
The email went out to supporters Monday afternoon. Contributions required range from $500 to $5,200, the maximum one can give for the primary and general election.
Here’s what the contributions will get you:
$5,200 – VIP Reception, Platinum Lunch Seating and Special Commemorative Gift
$2,600 – VIP Reception and Gold Lunch Seating
$1,000 – VIP rope-line lunch seating
$500 – Silver Seating for luncheon
