FREE event at the Clinton Center In honor of Women's History Month

In honor of Women's History Month, the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton School of Public Service will host a dynamic panel on empowerment of women and girls. From women's suffrage movement in America to the Arab Spring, countless exceptional women have redefined their role in the world on their own terms. Yet the reality for many girls and women is still stark: over 60 million girls still do not have access to primary education. The education and empowerment of girls and women is not only a moral issue—it is also a critical economic issue. The panel discussion will explore the people and projects that are working to empower women and girls.

Panelists include:
Penny Abeywadena, Head of Girls & Women, Associate Director, Commitments with the Clinton Global Initiative
Jimmie Briggs, Co-Founder and Executive Director, Man Up Campaign
Ruby Johnson, General Co-Coordinator, FRIDA/The Young Feminist Fund
Jerry Jones, Chief Ethics and Legal Officer, EVP, Acxiom
Sarah Kambou, President, International Center for Research on Women
Immaculee Kayitare, Clinton School of Public Service Class of 2014 student from Kigali, Rwanda
Sarah Thorn, Senior Director, Federal Government Relations, Walmart

March events at the Clinton Center

In March, the Clinton Presidential Center celebrates the life of Dr. Seuss, invites families to enjoy free Spring Break activities, and continues to explore the world of espionage with our temporary exhibit, "Spies, Traitors, & Saboteurs," on loan from the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C.

Socks, Buddy, Barney, and Miss Beazley are just a few of the presidential pets to call the White House their home. Learn more about them and many others at "Presidential Pets," the Clinton Center's newest temporary display dedicated to critters-in-chief. All this and more.

Clinton Foundation launches No Ceilings: The Full Participation Project

Launched by Secretary Clinton in November, No Ceilings is focused on measuring the progress women and girls have made since the 1995 UN World Conference on Women in Beijing, and assessing the gaps that still remain for women and girls to reach full participation. Here are some specific ways to get involved:

Follow the facts. Each day this month, the Clinton Foundation's Twitter feed will share one important fact about the progress women and girls have made or the challenges they currently face. You can follow through @ClintonFdn or #NoCeilings.
Pin your inspiration. The Clinton Foundation is now on Pinterest and No Ceilings has launched a new Pinterest board to celebrate women who have shattered ceilings around the world, throughout time. Take a look at some of the incredible women who have made their mark on history – some you may know, others may be new to you – and help share their stories.
Learn about progress. The Clinton Foundation works with partners around the world to accelerate opportunity for women and girls. Read about some of these great programs.
Change your profile picture. To celebrate International Women's Day on March 8, we invite you to change your profile picture on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to a woman who made a positive impact on your life – and help share her story with the world.
Share. We know that when women and girls are able to reach their full potential, the results of that positively impact our world. Here is an infographic you can send to your friends and family in honor of this Women's History Month to help remind people about why full participation matters.
