Bill Clinton by BONO
Tackling extreme poverty is something Clinton is no stranger to — he has worked in Africa for many years, kicking off debt cancellation, which resulted in an additional 42 million African children going to school. He had a huge hand in slashing the price of AIDS drugs for people who couldn't afford them. Very good stuff...Bono wrote a nice, if short, article highlighting Bill's world wide influence. I enjoyed the little video clip, and I think Clinton eloquently bows out of the role of hero (where Bono and myself think he rightly belongs) and chose to speak about everyday heroes, no doubt in the hopes of sparking similar acts of kindness in others. And, my oh my, he looks great!
