Bill Clinton urges 'objective' Haiti recount
SANTO DOMINGO (AFP) – Bill Clinton called Wednesday for an "objective" recount in Haiti's disputed presidential elections, and indicated an unfair result could doom efforts to rebuild the quake-shattered nation.
"They have agreed I think, the (electoral) commission, to have a second look at the votes with objective and informed observers," the two-term former US president told journalists in the Dominican Republic, Haiti's neighbor.
