by Bill Clinton A Global Vision for the New American Dream
For all its positive aspects, the age of interdependence presents profound challenges to our shared future for three reasons: It has too much economic and social inequality within and between nations; it is too unstable, as problems from terrorism to the financial crisis to computer viruses spread across the world at lightning speed; and it is unsustainable because

Can Bill Clinton keep Hope alive?
Count PGA Tour golfer Joe Ogilvie as one player searching for innovative ways to keep the struggling Bob Hope Classic alive. The 36-year-old Duke University graduate suggested former president Bill Clinton as tourney host might do the trick.
"I think it might need an A-list host that says, 'you know, this is an important event,'" Ogilvie told Golf Digest’s John Strege after the third round of the Hope tourney on Friday. "I think the guy I'd have host this tournament is Bill Clinton. I think he was a Republican's best friend, even though he was a Democratic president. He obviously holds huge cachet with the Democratic party.

Statement by President Bill Clinton and Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton on the Passing of Sargent Shriver
"We are greatly saddened by the passing of Sargent Shriver. He leaves behind an astonishing legacy of people helped, lives transformed, and communities improved. Through his work and his passion, he helped build a better America and a more humane world. And he did it with boundless enthusiasm, infectious joy, and the deepest love for his family, his nation, and his work.

R. Sargent Shriver was honored Saturday as much for his passion for helping others as his loving hugs and enjoyment of baseball.
Shriver, who fulfilled his brother-in-law John F. Kennedy's campaign promise by starting the Peace Corps, developed the aid organization into an international force. Others who have worked to help others through charities were among hundreds honoring Shriver at a funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, the Shriver family's church in Potomac, Md.
Former President Bill Clinton, first lady Michelle Obama, U2 frontman Bono and singer Wyclef Jean were among those in attendance, along with members of the Kennedy and Shriver families.

Thanks from Bill Clinton
Thank you to all those who contributed to the Clinton Foundation in the month of December. Your generosity helped us meet our year-end fundraising goals – including President Clinton’s donation match – and will help us take our life-changing work even farther in 2011.

January Programs at the Clinton Center
On January 20, 2001, President Bill Clinton departed the White House and returned to his life as a private citizen. Building on his lifetime commitment to public service, President Clinton established the William J. Clinton Foundation. As we honor President Clinton’s 10 year anniversary as a private citizen, the Clinton Center will continue to play an important role in the work of the Foundation by hosting first-class exhibits, providing valuable educational programming and maintaining our presence as a venue for community events in 2011 and beyond.

Today, President Clinton supports NBCC’s Breast Cancer Deadline 2020. In a video featuring President Clinton, he shares his appreciation saying, “I applaud the National Breast Cancer Coalition's courage to launch this ambitious campaign to end breast cancer by 2020. The stakes are too high, the losses have been too great to let another decade go by…. And if I know anyone who can do this, it's you.”
