Bill Clinton hopes to spur students into action at UCSD

Former President Bill Clinton said Thursday he wants to help “create a younger generation of sustained givers” who take action to improve lives around the world. This weekend he will join about 1,000 students from universities in all 50 states and 90 countries at the University of California San Diego for the Clinton Global Initiative University conference. “We’re having young people from China, Thailand, Dubai, Afghanistan, Mexico, Uganda, Ghana, a lot of different countries,” Clinton said in a telephone interview Thursday. “They will be talking about education, health, energy and the environment.
