Bill Clinton lauds scholarship program for seniors
Former U.S. President William J. Clinton told the 2012 seniors of El Dorado High School that their freedom to choose the path of higher education is “key to America’s economic recovery.”
Clinton spoke to students and their families Tuesday at Wildcat Arena in El Dorado, Ark., on the occasion of Academic Signing Day for this year’s recipients of the El Dorado Promise scholarship. Announced in 2007, the $50 million scholarship program is funded by the Murphy Oil Corporation and provides qualifying EHS students with up to 100 percent of tuition and mandatory college fees. http://www.bastropenterprise.com/topstories/x1364613141/Clinton-lauds-scholarship-program-for-seniors
