VIDEO President Clinton Announces Completion of LED Street Lighting Energy Efficiency Program in Los Angeles

Since 2009, the Clinton Climate Initiative has been working with the City of Los Angeles to retrofit 141,089 street lights. On June 18, 2013, City of Los Angeles Mayor Villaraigosa announced that with support from the Clinton Climate Initiative and the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, Los Angeles has completed the largest light-emitting diode (LED) street light replacement program in the world – saving the city $7 million and reducing carbon emissions by 30%. http://vimeo.com/68626385
