Ted Danson invites me to meet Bill Clinton
Bill Clinton wants to fly you and a guest to New York for World AIDS Day,December 1. It's an important time to reflect on the progress that's been made to turn the tide on this deadly pandemic and the ways we can do even more. For example, your $15 donation can ensure that a child like Jean-Pierre receives lifesaving treatment for one month. Make a secure online donation today, and you could be selected for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend time with Bill Clinton.

Bill Clinton’s Win-Win Philosophy
Packing a wealth of stories, stats and a good sense of humor, he promised and then delivered a framework we can all use to make sense of today’s complex world in which we live. Or how we’re to “win” in Afghanistan? For most of us, it takes every bit of our energy to deal with life’s immediate challenges, let alone trying to sort fact from fiction from all the information we’re bombarded with in today’s fragmented and often biased media ecosystem. His talk gave a fresh perspective on how to interpret the world today and s

Clinton talk takes civic tone in T.O
“In order for us to win, someone doesn’t have to lose,” he said. “Our differences matter but our common humanity means more. The ‘win-win’ game is what we need to play for our children’s future.”
Clinton also bemoaned what he said is a growing lack of civility in politics. He noted that he still works on many projects with the Bush family, his political rivals.
He touched on the nation’s healthcare debate and said, “I can’t help but think that the most dangerous thing we can do right now is nothing.”
Clinton will also be speaking today in Pasadena and on Tuesday in Redondo Beach as part of the Distinguished Speaker Series.

Clinton tours historic palace in Haiti tourism bid
Bill Clinton, slathered in sunscreen, urged Americans to explore the riches of Haitian tourism on Friday as he took a VIP trip to a mountain palace and a nearby beach where a cruise ship pier is being built.
The appeal to tourists is part of the former U.S. president's crusade to help the hemisphere's poorest nation emerge from a cycle of poverty and instability — problems that have helped drive tourists away.

President Clinton and President Preval Sign Agreement to Expand HIV/AIDS Services and Strengthen Health Systems in Haiti
Port-au-Prince, Haiti - President Bill Clinton signed a Memorandum of Understanding today with President Rene Preval and the government of Haiti. The agreement invites the Clinton HIV/AIDS Initiative (CHAI) to provide on the ground programmatic and technical support to the Government of Haiti, to help expand access to HIV/AIDS care and treatment services and strengthen the systems required to deliver primary health care services.
“My Foundation’s global AIDS work began in the Bahamas, the setting for one of the great success stories in the fight against HIV/AIDS,” President Clinton said. “I am confident that by using the same approach that is currently helping 2 million people access lifesaving treatment around the world, we can achieve the same success in Haiti. I look forward to working alongside the government of Haiti to strengthen health systems and save more lives.”

Citing the financial crisis, the spread of swine flu and the growing threat of climate change, Clinton said that the nation's problems are also the world's problems, and that it will take a global effort to solve them.
"I think we are stuck with each other, folks, whether we like it or not," Clinton told about 1,700 people at a fundraiser for the Ringling College Library Association.
