“In order for us to win, someone doesn’t have to lose,” he said. “Our differences matter but our common humanity means more. The ‘win-win’ game is what we need to play for our children’s future.”
Clinton also bemoaned what he said is a growing lack of civility in politics. He noted that he still works on many projects with the Bush family, his political rivals.
He touched on the nation’s healthcare debate and said, “I can’t help but think that the most dangerous thing we can do right now is nothing.”
Clinton will also be speaking today in Pasadena and on Tuesday in Redondo Beach as part of the Distinguished Speaker Series.
