Women for Women International [WfWI] announced today President Bill Clinton will receive the 2011 “Champion of Peace Award." The award will be presented at their annual gala dinner on November 17th in New York City. In making the announcement, Women for Women International’s founder Zainab Salbi said, "President Clinton's support of women and girls through Clinton Global Initiative has single-handedly shifted the discussion from a marginal to a central discussion essential to world stability and success. His personal passion and commitment on the issue has touched many hearts and led to much action and his dedication to bringing real change has led to solid impact on women's wellbeing through corporations and NGOs action. "
