Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI) project in the Oddar Meanchey province marks Cambodia’s first effort to reduce emissions from deforestation
Our Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI) project in the Oddar Meanchey province marks Cambodia’s first effort to reduce emissions from deforestation and degradation (REDD+) through the sale of forest carbon credits.
CCI is involved with 13 community forestry groups encompassing 58 villages, which protect 158,933 acres of forest. The project started in 2008 and will offset about 8.3 million metric tons of CO2 over 30 years.
