President Bill Clinton's Photos - President Clinton in Malawi
This past Friday, President Clinton visited Mchinji, Malawi, where the Clinton Hunter Development Initiative (CHDI) is helping rural communities improve their incomes through an anchor farm project and community reforestation project. He met with farmers who have been provided with access to improved soy seed, training and monitoring of advanced agronomic techniques, and access to a domestic, bulk buyer of soy—as well as their families. He also visited with some of the farmers who have planted more than 1.9 million trees planted, which will sequester more than 248,000 tons of carbon dioxide equivalents.
