William J Clinton Foundation gets results!!!!
When he arrives here tomorrow, President Clinton will see firsthand the progress we've made since his last visit in 2007 -- but also the incredible need to continue our work with as much global support as possible.
From agriculture and healthcare to clean water and sanitation, we are matching the talent, aspirations, and hard work of locals with opportunities to move their communities out of poverty.
Our work in Malawi touches the lives of nearly 900,000 people across the Dowa, Neno and Mchinji districts, but the Clinton Foundation's commitment spans the continent:
Developing sustainable soy-processing and coffee-roasting businesses in Rwanda with local investors that will help improve the lives of some 40,000 farmers.
Building the first modern integrated waste system in Lagos, which will divert 180,000 tons of waste from landfills and reduce greenhouse gas by 95,000 metric cubic tons per year.
Planting 2.5 million fruit and forest trees in Rwanda to combat deforestation and global warming.
Renovating Rwinkwavu Hospital in Rwanda into a fully functioning District Hospital that now serves 265,000 people.
