Today, President Clinton visited a community outreach event in Lima, Peru, hosted in conjunction with the Peruvian Ministry of Health, which screens potential patients to receive cataract surgeries under the program operated by the Clinton Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative and Fundación Carlos Slim. The President also visited a private clinic, Instituto de Ojos Sacro Cuore (Eye Institute of the Sacred Heart), which is the highest-producing private clinic participating in the CGSGI/SLIM Cataracts project.
