FREE rally with Bill Clinton in Cincinnati
Former President Bill Clinton will be the headliner at a Sunday rally for Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Lee Fisher at Over-the-Rhine’s Memorial Hall, followed by a private fundraising event.
The 6 p.m. rally will be open to the public, but will require tickets for admission. The job of distributing tickets will fall to the Hamilton County Democratic Party, according to Fisher campaign officials. Details on where and when tickets will be distrubted will be released later today.
The public rally with Clinton was added to the former president’s schedule after discussions between the Fisher campaign, Clinton’s staff and Ohio Democratic officials. Clinton was already scheduled to come to Cincinnati Sunday for a Fisher fundraising event at the East End home ofTom and C athy Crain, who have raised large sums of money for Democratic candidates in recent years. That private fundraising event will follow the Memorial Hall rally.
Clinton will be coming into territory that is considered the base for Fisher’s Republican opponent, former Cincinnati congressman and Bush administration official Rob Portman.
Fisher campaign officials say the doors at Memorial Hall will open at 5 p.m. Sunday, with the program beginning at 6 p.m.
