Bill Clinton visits Ukraine for anit-AIDS rally

On Sunday evening he spoke before thousands at a meeting at the Ukrainian capital called "Battle for the Future."

The rally was organized by the Foundation for AntiAIDS.

Clinton, who heads the fund to combat AIDS in the world, expressed concern about the spread of the disease in Ukraine. With a population of 48 million, one out over every 10 people is a carrier of AIDS, often without knowing it.

Clinton urged Ukrainians not to be afraid to get tested for AIDS, but also spoke of the need for safer sex.

Today, Clinton continues his visit to Ukraine; he will meet with high representatives of the Ukrainian authorities to discuss issues of mutual interest.
