Statement by President Bill Clinton and Secretary Hillary Clinton on the Passing of Anita Freedman
"We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend Anita Freedman. Her loyalty, support, and service to the New Hampshire Democratic Party not only helped us both at critical junctures in our own lives, but advanced the future of our nation, and we were glad she agreed to serve on the White House Conference on Aging and the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad. We always looked forward to our visits when we came to New Hampshire and kept in touch with her often in between. She was very good at reminding all Democrats who we were and what we stood for, rallying our base and bringing more people to our party. We will miss her boundless energy, her wise counsel, her infectious smile and her generous spirit, and our prayers go out to her family and many friends."
