Donate $25 and get Bill Clinton mug emblazoned with the title of President Clinton's compelling book, Giving: Each of Us Can Change the World.

I tie my apron on every day and go to work, getting my hands dirty doing what I love: feeding people. My food fills stomachs, warms hearts, and makes people happy.

When I first met President Clinton 10 years ago, food was the first thing we talked about, but the conversation quickly turned to those who do not have enough to eat.

I was so inspired by the President's unshakable commitment to creating real solutions that help people feed themselves and their families -- not just today and tomorrow, but for a lifetime.

Through his remarkable Foundation, President Clinton has taken the adage of teaching a person to fish and applied it all over the world, saving countless lives. But there are more mouths to feed, more communities to transform, and the need is growing in too many places.

Please, join me in supporting the life-changing work of the Clinton Foundation. When you do, I'll share a special holiday recipe as my thanks to you.

Thank you for giving as generously as you can.

Sincerely,

Mario Batali

P.S. With your first time gift of $25 or more, you'll receive a beautiful mug emblazoned with the title of President Clinton's compelling book, Giving: Each of Us Can Change the World. It's just one more example of how President Clinton's leadership is helping our world for the better.

Statement by President Bill Clinton on the Passing of Richard Holbrooke

"In a lifetime of passionate, brilliant service on the front lines of war and peace, freedom and oppression, Richard Holbrooke saved lives, secured peace, and restored hope for countless people around the world. Tomorrow marks the 15-year anniversary of the signing of the Dayton Accords — the agreement Dick negotiated which stopped the killings in Bosnia and paved a path to peace in the Balkans that endures today. He was central to our efforts to limit ethnic cleansing in Kosovo and pave the way for its independence, and he found a way to break the stalemate in talks in Cyprus. I was proud to nominate him as the United States’ ambassador to the United Nations, where he helped equip the UN to meet the challenges of our 21st Century world. For the last two years, he worked hard to counter terrorism and to build a secure, democratic future for Afghanistan and Pakistan. Our nation is safer, and our world stronger, because of the work he did. I will miss my friend very much. My thoughts and prayers are with Kati, his sons, and legions of friends during this difficult time."

New Video of Bill Clinton on why he started his Foundation

When I left office in 2001, I knew my work wasn't done yet. Poverty, malnutrition, climate change, and so many other problems, both here and abroad, were still calling out for solutions.

We wasted no time in bringing together governments, businesses, and other organizations to identify low-cost, high-impact solutions for some of the world's most pressing challenges.

And I'm simply amazed at the breadth of work we've been able to take on and the lives we've been able to touch -- from energy efficient cities with lower carbon emissions to ongoing relief and recovery efforts in Haiti, our work is having a real impact

With Thanksgiving only a few days away, I am reminded of all the things I have to be thankful for this year: family and friends, good health, the chance to help improve lives through my Foundation, and our supporters who make that work possible. But at the same time. I'm reminded of all the people around the world who still lack access to the opportunities to live their dreams and improve their lives. In this month's newsletter, you can read how we work to improve lives around the world, from building sustainable schools in Malawi to responding to the Cholera outbreak in Haiti. An interview with Bill Clinton BILL CLINTON: GHOSTS FROM THE PAST

For eight years, he was the world’s most powerful man, but wielding that power – at times – carried great personal costs. Now 64 years old, former US President Bill Clinton visibly aged since we last met – his face more lined and gaunt, his voice thinner. We were in front of an audience of leaders, which represented Philippine history – former presidents Fidel Ramos and Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, former first lady Imelda Marcos and her son Bongbong Marcos, numerous politicians and top business executives.

“How did that much power affect you personally,” I asked.

Bill Clinton: My Soccer Story

In 1994, I was the first president to watch a World Cup game on American soil. I'll never forget that day: the beauty of the Game, the roar of the crowd, and the power of soccer to unite people of such diverse backgrounds and beliefs. These past six months I've worked to bring this incredible experience to millions more Americans as the honorary chairman of the USA Bid Committee. I am proud that my voice has joined yours to tell the entire world that the Game Is In US. With FIFA's decision less than a month away, we're using every resource available to show we're fully committed to bringing the World Cup to our country -- and our best resource is fans like you. Will you support this effort with a contribution to the Bid Committee? Any amount you can afford will make a real difference:

Bill Clinton op ed Finish Rabin’s Work

TODAY marks 15 years since an assassin’s bullet killed my friend, Yitzhak Rabin, the Israeli prime minister. Since his death, not a week has gone by that I have not missed him. I loved him and his wife, Leah, very much. On the occasion of the anniversary of his death, his yahrzeit, the world would do well to remember the lessons of his life: his vision for freedom, tolerance, cooperation, security and peace is as vital now as it was 15 years ago, when he happily spoke and sang for peace at a huge rally in Tel Aviv just before he was killed.

Well this crowd was soo huge. The press, especially the right-leaning press, made a big ordeal out of the Detroit event's low attendance. Did they ever think that maybe people attended this event at the college, which is only about 30 miles away from Detroit, instead.
