Bill Clinton is headed to Lake Mary on March 5 to headline a fundraiser for Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe

He’ll be back for a March 5 soiree, starting at 7 p.m.
Invitations just went out.
McAuliffe has family in Central Florida.
Tickets, sold through McAuliffe’s campaign, start at $500. For $5,000 someone can become a host, with all the perks that come with that. For $10,000 someone can become a co-chair of the event.

Bill Clinton to speak in support of Scottish businesses Friday, 21 June.

Former US President Bill Clinton will be the keynote speaker at the prestigious Scottish Business Awards in Edinburgh. The 66-year old will give a speech, “Embracing Our Common Humanity”, to about 1,400 delegates expected to attend Scotland’s premier cross-industry awards programme.

The awards take place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on Friday, 21 June. Tables are still available. For more details, see

 The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation announced today that it will award its prestigious Lincoln Leadership Prize to the 42nd President of the United States, President Bill Clinton, during a special dinner to be held at the Hilton Chicago on May 4. This annual award honors outstanding individuals for a lifetime of service in the spirit of 16th President Abraham Lincoln. This is the first time the prize will be awarded to a former president of the United States. It is intended to honor individuals who manifest great strength of character, individual conscience, and an unwavering commitment to the defining principles of democracy.

Clinton suggested that state and federal government agencies help develop the poorer areas of Nigeria as a solution to thwarting violence, but cautioned against simply throwing money at the problem.

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton Visits Liberia

The former President of the United States of America, Bill Clinton, on a brief visit to Liberia, has expressed interest in helping the country in its quest to restore energy, after seeing the need for the restoration of power. According to an Executive Mansion release, Mr. Clinton made the remarks when he held discussions with President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf at her office during a brief visit to Liberia on Monday February 25. He was responding to updates on challenges faced by the government in fully restoring Liberia to its pre-war status.

-- President Clinton addressed university students, members of Morocco's government, prominent business leaders, and respected academic leaders at the Hyatt Regency in Casablanca to acknowledge and celebrate the Universite Internationale de Casablanca (UIC), a Laureate International Universities network institution, on its work in Morocco and its immediate plans to build a new campus. UIC is a pioneering private university in Morocco—and the first in Casablanca—and serves a region that has a large demand for highly skilled workers. The new state-of-the-art campus will be able to accommodate more than 12,000 students and will benefit from its connections with Laureate's other international universities.

Bill Clinton helping W.Va. kids get fit

-- Former President Bill Clinton struggled with his weight as a child. Now his foundation is helping thousands of West Virginia kids get in shape. This year, 158 West Virginia schools in 13 counties are signed up for the Healthy Schools Program, including all Mingo County schools.

The national Alliance for a Healthier Generation runs the Healthy School Program, created by the William J. Clinton Foundation and the American Heart Association to fight childhood obesity. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation now funds it.

Bill Clinton to speak at medical IT conference in New Orleans

Former President Bill Clinton and a cardiologist-geneticist are keynote speakers for a medical information technology conference March 3-7 in New Orleans.

He will speak March 5 at the conference, which is called HIMSS13.

Clinton's speech on March 6 will be streamed on the Internet.

Heart disease is the number one killer of American women, yet less than 50 percent know they are at risk. As we recognize American Heart Month this February, Dr. C. The Little Rock office of the Clinton Foundation is pleased to announce the winner and runners-up of the "Ideas Matter" annual essay contest.

Madison Kate McGraw, a junior at Beebe High School, won the top prize and $2,500 scholarship. Runners-up are Stephen Sigman of Waldron High School, and Troi Wilcox, a senior at Robinson High School in Little Rock.
