Bill Clinton to Deliver Howard Commencement Speech

University President Sidney Ribeau said Tuesday that Clinton would deliver the speech on May 11. Ribeau says Clinton's example as a leader, humanitarian and advocate and his commitment to public service will inspire the class of 2013.

St. Louis is venue for Stephen Colbert-Bill Clinton interview

Stephen Colbert will interview former President Bill Clinton and host the closing session of the sixth annual Clinton Global Initiative University meeting April 6 at Washington University.

The interview, taped before an audience of 1,000 students, will air the week of April 8 on “The Colbert Report” (10:30 p.m. weeknights on Comedy Central).

From the Clinton Foundation Empowering Female Farmers to Uplift Communities

The Clinton Development Initiative established the Anchor Farm Project in 2008 to help smallholder farmers in Malawi create sustainable farming solutions and increase their income.  Since then, the project has expanded to include four 1,000 hectare “anchor” farms that partner with more than 21,000 local smallholder farmers, and provide them with access to quality inputs for maize and soya production, agronomic training, and access to formal markets.

A forum this week is bringing together global leaders to tackle education solutions for the approximately 139 million children who are missing out on schooling worldwide.

During the inaugural Global Education and Skills Forum in Dubai March 14-17, world leaders including Bill Clinton and Tony Blair will be discussing private-public partnerships to improve education equity.

Former President Bill Clinton will be in St. Louis next month as part of his Clinton Global Initiative University

The sixth annual Clinton Global Initiative University will be April 5-7 at Washington University. Among the featured speakers will be Clinton's daughter, Chelsea, and comedian Stephen Colbert.

The event is expected to include more than 1,000 college students and celebrities discussing things such as education, the environment, human rights and climate change.
