Bill Clinton just created The Clinton Health Matters Initiative

Over the course of the last several decades in the United States, the landscape of health has vastly changed. Today more Americans are drinking high-calorie beverages instead of water; working more hours and sleeping less; and being less physically active than ever before. These changing lifestyles are not only taking a toll on our health, but driving up health care costs in a way that can't be sustained.


But the good news is this: healthier lifestyle choices today can improve our health tomorrow. And by helping more people access healthy lifestyles, and inspiring more people to make wellness a priority, we can build a healthier future for all.
The Clinton Health Matters Initiative (CHMI) was created to do just that – to help people change the course of their own health while simultaneously changing the systems and places that affect individual health. Over the course of the next few months, we'll be sharing a variety of tools and solutions that are improving health outcomes for people, communities, and businesses across the U.S. – and providing more ways for you to get involved in activating wellness with your friends and neighbors.

At The Clinton Presidential Center Free Fashion Show - Curbside Coutur

You and a guest are invited to Curbside Couture! Americans discard an estimated 68 pounds of clothing a year. However, about 99 percent of what is thrown away can be recycled.

High school student designers, alongside professional fashion designers, will showcase how trash can be turned into treasure at a one-of-a-kind "green" fashion show.

After the show, shop local and support the designers as they sell their creations at the Curbside Bazaar. Project Runway "Fan Favorite" Korto Momolu, Connie Fails, Erin Lorenzen and Missy Lipps will also be featured in the show.

Bill Clinton says his foundation to tackle health gaps

his foundation is amassing a record of success on issues from HIV/AIDS in Africa, where it has persuaded drug companies to slash the price of anti-HIV drugs, to childhood obesity in the United States, partnering with beverage companies to get sugary drinks out of schools.

In November, the Clinton Center celebrates its 8th anniversary with a free admission day. Since opening in 2004, the Center has welcomed 2.6 million visitors from around the world and continues to serve as a vibrant educational and cultural venue for all guests – whether from across the street or across the globe.
On November 11, all active and retired military personnel and their families will receive free admission to the Library in honor of Veterans Day. This month is your last opportunity to see "Dorothy Howell Rodham & Virginia Clinton Kelley.” The Kumpuris Distinguished Lecture Series presents “Laugh in Peace,” a comedy performance with a multi-cultural message.
