From Chelsea Clinton
My father's a dreamer and a realist – a dynamic and inspiring combination (and, yes, I am biased). He knows that without the generosity and support of friends like you, our work at the Clinton Foundation to help build a stronger, more equitable world would simply not be possible.
My father's passion for the work of the Foundation is matched only by the passion of our Foundation team and the enthusiasm of supporters like you, who open up your hearts to turn big ideas into tangible solutions for those in need.
There's one common thread in all of the work of the Clinton Foundation – whether it's reducing the prevalence of childhood obesity in U.S. schools, increasing access to lifesaving medicines to fight HIV/AIDS and the scourge of childhood diarrhea, helping create market-based solutions and real employment for targeted communities in Latin America and Africa, or increasing the energy efficiency of buildings around the world. None of it would be possible if it weren't for the drive of real people deciding that they can make a difference and acting on that impulse – people just like you and my dad.
That's the reason my father loves talking about the Foundation's work with those who make it happen, Amy. When you meet him, you'll see – he's always thinking of the next big thing that can create positive, lasting change. And he welcomes everyone to the table who is interested in putting ideas into action. http://www.clintonfoundation.org/?utm_campaign=2013SpendDay&utm_medium=email&utm_source=040913SpendDayND

Bill Clinton hails 'iconic' Thatcher
Former US president Bill Clinton on Monday hailed the late British prime minister Margaret Thatcher as an "iconic" and ground-breaking leader.
Clinton said in a statement he "was saddened" to hear of her death at the age of 87 on Monday.
"The United Kingdom has lost its first woman Prime Minister, an iconic stateswoman, and a fearless leader. The United States has lost one of its dearest friends and most valued allies," he said.
Clinton said he "respected" Thatcher's drive in a "remarkable life as she broke barriers, defied expectations, and led her country."
Clinton said his wife Hillary, who is widely seen as hoping to become the first woman in the US presidency in 2016, and his daughter Chelsea "extend our condolences to her family and to the people of the United Kingdom."

President Bill Clinton: 'I think America will have some very good choices for president'
Former President Bill Clinton may have stoked more speculation about his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and her potential run for president.
Asked during a Q-and-A session on Saturday if he'd rather take eight more years as president or complete 16 projects at the Clinton Global Initiative, Clinton said - after a pause - "I would rather keep doing what I'm doing."
"Because I think America will have some very good choices for president," he continued, drawing applause from the audience as they presumably clapped and cheered for his wife. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2013/04/07/president-bill-clinton-i-think-america-will-have-some-very-good-choices-for-president/

April events at the Clinton Center
In April, the Clinton Center continues to celebrate jazz and its place in American history. Through dynamic photographs and one-of-a-kind musical memorabilia, "Jazz: Though the Eyes of Herman Leonard," Center visitors are transported to a time and a place where these artists pioneered and perfected their craft. High school student designers showcase their recycled and upcycled fashions at Curbside Couture, a fashion show and bazaar, and the Clinton School of Public Service and the Clinton Foundation commemorate the 50th anniversary Dr. Martin Luther King’s writing of “Letters from a Birmingham Jail” with a public reading. All this and more. Click here for a complete listing of events. http://www.clintonpresidentialcenter.org/events/
