Bill Clinton dedicates pedestrian bridge at presidential library

“So when you look at this bridge and you think about the harmony the wetlands bring between humanity and nature, just remember that,” Clinton said. “What brings real victories is cooperation.”

The bridge spans the Arkansas River between Little Rock and North Little Rock. The presidential library next to it was built to resemble a bridge in keeping with Clinton’s often-used phrase, “a bridge to the 21st century.”

About 1,750 people attended the dedication ceremony http://www.deseretnews.com/article/700183938/Clinton-dedicates-pedestrian-bridge-at-his-library.html?s_cid=rss-34

In close collaboration with families, physicians, and communities, the Clinton Foundation’s nutrition programs aim to help all children, no matter their background, live longer and healthier lives. Much of our work is done in schools, where many children take most of their meals and spend most of their time, but our programs also extend to doctors’ offices, hospitals, and clinics, and even to families’ homes. http://www.healthiergeneration.org/ http://bit.ly/CGSGI

Bill Clinton's Legacy by Lanny Davis

It was in that announcement speech that Mr. Clinton articulated that he intended to follow a different path than traditional Democratic Party liberal orthodoxy, appealing to the middle class, political moderates, and independents. "The change we must make isn't liberal or conservative," he said. "It's both, and it's different.... People don't care about the idle rhetoric of 'left' and 'right' and 'liberal' and 'conservative.'
